RJ Meyn, a Communications major entering his junior year, chose Santa Clara University for its beautiful campus, elite academics, and the glowing recommendations of the many alumni he knew. Originally from Dublin, California, RJ felt at home almost immediately. His favorite class so far was his Religion 1 course, taken during his very first quarter. "Everyone was so welcoming, and it felt like I was a part of the SCU family the moment I walked in that door," he recalls.

Outside the classroom, baseball is at the center of RJ's life at Santa Clara. "Baseball takes up most of my life here at SCU, but I wouldn't trade it for the world," he says. "I love every part of SCU." Looking ahead, RJ hopes to channel that same drive into entrepreneurship. "I want to own my own business at some point after baseball," he explains, "and I think SCU is a great stepping stone for that."

Receiving the Fr. Coz Scholarship has eased a significant burden for RJ, helping to relieve much of the debt he expected to face after graduation. He hopes to give back in the same spirit one day. "I would love to donate to this same cause when I am older," he says.

To the donors who support the Fr. Coz Scholarship, RJ offers his sincere gratitude. "Thank you for all of your generosity," he says. "Everyone appreciates you."
