General Counsel and SVP of Tech Policy for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group

Peter is General Counsel and SVP of Tech Policy for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group where he focuses on AI/ML, data privacy, international trade and business competitiveness. He leads SVLG's Responsible AI Working Group, which is co-chaired by executives at Google and Johnson & Johnson.

Peter began his legal career in Intellectual Property litigation and has also worked as In-House Counsel for a financial advisory firm. In addition to his experience in Silicon Valley, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for over five years, where he prosecuted narcotics crimes, violent offenses, and financial crimes.

Peter is a former elected Council Member in Gilroy and served two terms as Mayor Pro Tem.

He holds a B.A. in Political Science from U.C. Berkeley, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Peter is bilingual in English and Spanish.
