The Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX oversees the University’s compliance with Title IX, equal opportunity, affirmative action, and other state and federal civil rights laws. It helps investigate and resolve complaints of discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, and sexual violence, including sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual exploitation, and stalking. The Office for Multicultural Learning (OML) is committed to promoting social justice, building bridges across diverse communities, and celebrating differences of students at Santa Clara University. The Office of the University Ombuds is located organizationally in the Office of the President, and reports to the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, but the University Ombuds operates independently of all institutional reporting responsibilities. Mission and Ministry comprises the Center for Spirituality and Faith, the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education, and the Mission Santa Clara de Asís. Building on a strong campus commitment to the University’s Jesuit, Catholic mission and values, the team oversees the development and implementation of initiatives to engage students, faculty, staff, administrators, trustees, alumni, and benefactors in deeper education and ongoing formation, helping these groups to make the mission their own and apply it concretely to their work and life. The Office of Accessible Education has been designated by the University to ensure disabled students have equitable access to all academic and University programs. We strive to support students with disabilities so they can participate fully in campus life, its programs, and activities. The Office of Student Life and the Dean of Students Office services, programs and offices engage students in different modalities and are often a combination of advocating for them in ways that they view as being supportive, and at other times challenge them to be accountable for their decisions and behaviors. At Santa Clara University, the graduate & law housing options include studio apartments for individual students at Bellarmine Hall, St. Clare Hall & University Square, two-bedroom townhouses at Park Avenue Apartments which house two students in individual bedrooms, and two graduate/law houses in the surrounding neighborhood. SCU Bronco Alerts will consist of Emergency Notifications, Timely Warnings, and other types of safety messaging. They can be issued to the Campus Community via SMS text message, Guardian App, Emergency Blue Phone Speakers, the SCU Website, voice calls, email, and in certain situations, campus television screens.
