Historical Perspectives

Published since 1984 by the Lambda Upsilon Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, Historical Perspectives is Santa Clara University’s award-winning undergraduate history research journal. Its editorial board is composed entirely of undergraduate students who, under the guidance of a faculty advisory committee, solicit, select, edit, and publish original scholarship by their fellow undergraduate students.

Historical Perspectives has received national recognition through the Gerald D. Nash History Journal Prize, awarded by Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society. The prize recognizes chapters that promote serious undergraduate historical research by publishing a formal journal dedicated to student-authored scholarship.
